  • $3.00 monthly paper statement fee 
  • $1.00 monthly account maintenance fee (waived with an open Checking account or $100 deposited)
  • $10.00 excessive withdrawal fee (for each online banking transfer over 6 per month)

An e-Savings account gives you:

  • Statements and documents delivered electronically
  • Online and Mobile banking
  • 6 free electronic or over-the-phone transactions per month
  • Unlimited transactions in a branch, at an ATM, or through the mail

  • $1.00 monthly maintenance fee (waived with an open Checking account or $100 deposited)
  • $10.00 excessive withdrawal fee (for each online banking transfer over 6 per month)

Prestige Checking combines many popular features you’ve gotten used to. You’ll have everything from paper statements to overdraft protection at no extra cost, so you can use your account without worry.

Overdraft Protection Options

We get it - overdrafts happen. You get to decide how they are handled!

  1. You can choose to have a debit card overdraft be paid or declined. 
  2. You can choose to transfer money from your savings account to cover an overdraft.
  3. You can choose to enroll in Courtesy pay, which will automatically cover most overdrafts.

You get to decide if you want Spirit of Alaska to authorize overdraft transactions for everyday debit purchases. 

For example, you have $5 in your checking account and make a $10 purchase with your debit card. Do you want that transaction to be successful, or do you want it to decline?

Account Transfers:

Automatically draw money from your savings account in case of an overdraft. In general, savings account transfers are the most cost-effective method for handling overdraft transactions.

  • $7.50 daily transfer fee
  • Only pay one daily account transfer fee, even if there are multiple overdraft transactions on your account
  • Link 1 Savings account to each Checking account
  • Credit check not required for savings transfers
  • Additional fees apply after 6 transactions a month

Courtesy Pay: 

Courtesy Pay is an overdraft protection program from Spirit of Alaska FCU that extends temporary credit to cover overdrafts on your checking account from both checks and debit transactions. For qualified members, Courtesy Pay will cover any charges, including fees, up to your overdraft protection limit. 

  • $30 Courtesy Pay fee per overdraft transaction 
  • Requires credit approval 
  • Maximum of 4 Courtesy Pay fees charged per day 
  • Total overdrafts cannot exceed $500, including fees

We encourage our members to practice sound financial habits and keep their accounts positive, however, members do have 30 days to bring their accounts back to active status. Every day your account is in overdraft a $3 fee will be assessed.
